Terms of Service
1. Agreement
Ehi (www.ehi.chat) is an AI chat service: you converse with artificial-intelligence models, optionally attach files for them to read, and store those files with your account. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Ehi.
2. Accounts
Registration requires accurate information and is subject to approval; we review and approve each new account individually and may decline or revoke access at our discretion. You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for all activity on your account. You must be at least 13 years old to use Ehi; if you are under the age of majority where you live, a parent or guardian must consent to your use and accept these Terms on your behalf. Accounts designated as child accounts operate with additional content restrictions.
3. Acceptable use — prohibited content and conduct
Ehi is a general-purpose assistant service. The following are prohibited on Ehi. You may not use the service to request, generate, upload, store, share, or attempt to elicit:
- Sexually explicit or pornographic (NSFW) content of any kind, whether text, imagery, or links to such material.
- Deepfakes and non-consensual synthetic media: content that impersonates a real, identifiable person without their consent — including fabricated intimate imagery, fabricated statements presented as genuine, and any attempt to create or solicit such material. This is prohibited regardless of intent.
- Any content sexualizing minors. Zero tolerance: accounts are terminated immediately and, where required or appropriate, reported to the relevant authorities (including Cybertip.ca).
- Illegal activity: content or conduct that violates the laws of Canada or your jurisdiction, including fraud, malware creation, instructions for weapons or dangerous substances, and infringement of others’ intellectual-property or privacy rights.
- Harassment, hate, or threats directed at any person or group.
- Circumvention: attempts to bypass, jailbreak, or defeat the safety systems of the service or of the underlying AI models, or to use Ehi to build or resell a competing access service.
We do not routinely read your conversations. Enforcement relies on the built-in safety systems of the AI providers we use, on reports made to us, and on review of specific content where we have a lawful reason to examine it (for example, an abuse report or a legal obligation). Violations may result in warnings, suspension, or termination of the account. Where the law requires reporting, we report.
4. Loony — account credit
What Loony is, and what it is not. Loony is account credit for using Ehi. One Loony is always one Canadian dollar of credit — that never changes. Loony can only be spent on ehi.chat — on chat, on the automatic web searches your questions sometimes trigger, and on extra file storage. It is not money, it is not a gift card usable anywhere else, and it does not earn interest. You cannot send Loony to another person or another account, you cannot cash it out or withdraw it to a bank, and we do not accept or hold cryptocurrency. The only way money ever leaves your Ehi account is a refund of unspent Loony back to the card you paid with, under the refund policy below.
Credit is consumed when the AI answers you; the amount depends on the model used and the length of the conversation. A response you stop before it finishes is not charged. Some questions also cause Ehi to search the web for you automatically: that search is charged separately and appears as its own line in your history, as does the short check that decides whether a search is needed at all. Extra file storage is charged yearly — 1 Loony per 100 MB block, renewing on the anniversary of the day you bought it. If your balance is too low to renew a block, that block simply lapses and your storage allowance drops back; nothing you have uploaded is deleted because of it. Your balance and full activity history are always visible in your account settings, itemised.
5. Does Loony expire?
Loony you have paid for never expires. It stays in your account for as long as the account exists, and we never charge inactivity, dormancy or maintenance fees against it. Free Loony that we give you — a welcome gift, a referral or promotional grant, or a goodwill credit — expires 12 months after we add it, and we will notify you before that happens. When you chat, free Loony is spent first, so your own money is the last thing to be used.
6. Refunds
You can ask for a refund of Loony you have purchased and not yet spent, for up to 30 days after the purchase, refunded to the card you paid with. Loony already spent on chat or storage cannot be refunded, because the underlying AI usage has already been paid for. Partial refunds of a top-up are possible. We allow up to two refunds per account per rolling 12 months. Free (promotional) Loony has no cash value and is not refundable.
Refunds requested within 1 hour of the purchase are free. After that, a refund is subject to an administration fee covering non-recoverable payment-processing costs and administrative handling: the payment processor’s fee for the original transaction (2.8% + C$0.30, which is not returned to us when we refund) plus C$1.00. The exact amounts are shown to you before you confirm any refund. The fee is waived in full when the reason for the refund is our error — for example a double charge or a billing fault. The full policy is published at www.ehi.chat/refund.
7. Disputed payments
If you do not recognise a charge, please contact us first — we can almost always resolve it faster than a card dispute, and if the Loony is unspent we will simply refund it. If a payment is disputed with your card issuer, we pause the account while the dispute is open and remove the disputed Loony from the balance. We keep a detailed record of every top-up and every charge (dates, amounts, and the model used — never the content of your conversations) and will provide it to the card issuer when responding to a dispute.
8. Your content and privacy
Your conversations and uploaded files belong to you. To generate replies, your messages and attachments are processed by the third-party AI providers whose models you select; they are used to provide the service, not sold. Our internal error logs never contain the content of your conversations. You can view and delete what the assistant remembers about you at any time in your settings. Our full privacy policy is published at www.ehi.chat/privacy and forms part of these Terms.
9. Service availability and changes
Ehi is provided “as is.” We work to keep it available and accurate, but AI models can produce incorrect or unexpected output, and we may add, change, or remove models and features, or suspend the service for maintenance. Do not rely on AI output for medical, legal, or financial decisions without independent verification.
10. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of the service is limited to the amount you paid to Ehi in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including your rights under Ontario or Quebec consumer-protection legislation.
11. Ending your account
You may stop using Ehi at any time. If you ask us to close your account, any unspent purchased Loony that is still eligible for a refund under section 6 — including its 30-day window and yearly limit — will be offered back to you before deletion. Closing an account does not create refund rights beyond section 6: balances that are no longer refund-eligible are forfeited when the account is deleted. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, as described in section 3.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the service evolves. Material changes will be announced in the app or by email before they take effect, and the version and effective date at the top of this page will change. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms. Changes are not applied retroactively to purchases made under earlier terms.
13. Language
These Terms, the Privacy Policy, and the Refund Policy are offered in English and in French. Both versions are available at all times (Conditions d’utilisation en français). For consumers residing in Quebec, the French version prevails in the event of any inconsistency; elsewhere, the English version governs.
14. Governing law and contact
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without depriving Quebec consumers of the protection of the mandatory provisions of the law of their province of residence.
